Squares
Problems may involve area, perimeter, or diagonals. The square is similar to the rectangle. The
square is a special case of the rectangle where the length and width are equal. Rather than use
the words length or width, we will refer to the length of each side of the square as the Side, S.
· Area - Applications
may include words involving the quantity of carpeting required
for a room or some other word related to area.
